In early 1985, Ray Underhill packed up his gear and drove his Ford hatchback from Gallatin, Tennessee to California to pursue his dreams of making it big in skateboarding.Soon after his arrival, Powell Peralta recognized his talent and welcomed him as an amateur on the legendary Bones Brigade team.Rays patience and dedication paid off when Powell Peralta released his first pro model –Chain and Crossin 1990.Known for his smooth style and deep bag of tricks, Ray brought a unique talent and grace tothevertscene of the late 1980s, making friends everywhere he went.

Thechanging skate culture of the early1990srefocused skateboarding onstreet skating, and by the mid 1990s,vert skating and its heroes were out of fashion.Rays exceptional personality, skills and friendships enabled him to transition intothe supply side of theskate industry, applying hisartisticexpertise, work ethic, and signature kindness to create a second successful career.

In 2008, Ray passed away after a battle with a brain tumor, but his talent, humor, andlovingspirit left an enduring mark on skateboarding.To honor his legacyand family, were proud to release his iconic blunt-nosedChain and Crosspro model in this gold foil rendition.
